Current gallery shows

Excited to be part of two fantastic shows in the next month! Tonight, Gallery1988 (Venice, CA location) kicks off their Hitchcock tribute art show, can't wait to see all the contributions! I painted up a piece for The Birds (below), it'll be hanging and up for sale.

May 5th is the opening for the "Hey Geek Girl" show at Ltd. Art Gallery in Seattle, WA. Really excited to be part of this show, also really bummed out that I can't make it to the opening. If you're in the area, don't miss this one! I'll have Bettie Page piece hanging and up for sale (above and on the poster). More shows to be will be happening summer, I'll be sure to post more about them when they're announced!

Crunch time!

It's crunch time here with conventions fast approaching. Boston will kick off con season for me, which is NEXT WEEK (already?!). Just wanted to do a quick art update and some news about more cons!

I'll be attending two more shows for 2012! I'm super excited to be a guest at Asbury Lanes Comic Con (May 12th) and Cincinnati Comic Expo ( Sept. 22 & 23). My commission list is currently open for Asbury Lanes and Heroes only. Please email me at Sbuscema@gmail.com if interested in setting up a commission for either shows. I can fit only a few more pieces in for Heroes, so it's a good time to get on the list if you haven't already.

A few new pieces of art!
Below are all the inked mini paintings I'll be bringing with me to Boston. I'll be coloring them all weekend and all are for sale on a first come first serve basis. Above is a Rocketeer commission painting I just finished up. Always a treat to draw and paint any Rocketeer related art, definitely my one of my favorite characters to work on!

April Update

A few exciting things happening! Firstly, my latest picture book, Pugs in a Bug, was released mid March! If you're unfamiliar with the book, I posted some art and a little about it in a previous post. I'm thrilled that the book is out and doing great.

In less then a month I'll be packing up my art and heading to Boston Comic Con! Looks like it's going to be a great show this year and I'm happy to be involved. I had the pleasure of creating the art for the exclusive BCC T-shirt convention this year (above). It'll be up for sale at the convention.

I'll have a bunch of new prints for sale (limited run of 50 each) and a few pieces of original art.  Below are a few of the original painted pieces and commissions I finished recently. Really looking forward to the show and hope to see you there!
