A few new covers

A few covers I've been meaning to post! I know there are bunch I'm forgetting, but here are a couple finished up over the end of December/January that I'm excited about. Love working with new characters, so I was thrilled when Dynamite asked for a painted cover of Dejah Thoris for Warlord of Mars #100! Issue will be out in April. Another Sonja, this time for issue #10. Trying to simplify a tad and try new things with Sonja covers this year. It's been an amazing run so far and I can't believe it's basically a year to date since I started working on her covers (working on issue 12 art now and I can't believe how time flies). Still so thrilled to be part of this book and always look forward to working on a new cover each month. I also had the pleasure of painting a fun cover for Rocky and Bullwinkle #1.

In some upcoming news, lots more covers on the way. I've started painting a new cover run with one of my favorite female comic characters which will be out over the summer-I don't think I've ever been so excited about a cover run and hopefully I'll be able to post details soon! I'll also have news of a big release in May-non comic or publishing related...something I'm so unbelievably excited to share. It's been a pretty tough secret to keep these past months! On top of that, I'll have a new batch of colorful giclĂ©e prints for release in the Spring/Summer that I'll be bringing with me to conventions. After con season, the prints will be available in my online shop. *Quick convention note*-I'll be closing the commission list this week for both Asbury Park Comicon and Heroes Con. The list got pretty full (thanks, guys!♥) and I'll only have 1-2 spots left for smaller pieces if any at all. Again, I will not be sketching or painting at shows anymore, all custom art will need to be ordered prior to the show-I will have a select handful of originals with me for sale at the con-after these shows my list will be closed for the remainder of 2014.

Hats Of The Year: February

Second painted entry for my Hats of the Year project! I'm already scheming and thinking about how I can actually make these hats a real thing, even a smaller scale version or hair fascinator. Time to pull out the craft and millinery supplies...now just to find the time ;) !  Wishing everyone a great February filled with lots of sweets ♥ xo
