April Update

Ok, where to start!

It's been about two months since an update so lots to catch up on (including some sleep!). Sadly, no hat of the year update just yet, although I'm absolutely determined to get these hatty ladies painted by the end of the year for a little calendar. For those who have emailed me recently for commissions, I appreciate it so much!! Sadly, the list is closed until further notice-work and projects are really keeping me busier then anticipated this year and I'd hate to make promises I can't keep. A big, big thanks to all who came by Asbury Park Comicon this month and I can't wait till the next show, Heroes Con in June! I'm beyond excited to share that I'll have three officially licensed Dynamite prints available at the shows (peek of my girls above!), two Red Sonja prints and a Vampi print! Numbered and signed edition of 150 pieces each. The prints will be available in my online shop after the Con. Speaking of, a few new prints are now available in the shop, along with a brand new The Vixens Girl Gang tote!! So looking forward to releasing more of this line, there will be some art, prints and maybe a few other items available this summer :)

Speaking of Vampi, some pretty exciting news on the comic front... I'm beyond thrilled to be working on covers for the new Vampirella series! She's been one of my favorite comic characters for years and years and it's nothing short of an honor to be able to work with the character on covers. Early Vampi art has been a huge inspiration to me, as both a horror and comic art fan. So stoked to read the new series and contribute my little cover to the book. I've also had the pleasure of painting another cover for Archie Comics, which is always a super fun assignment! This time for Bettie and Veronica issue 272, I went with a retro travel poster feel and dressed the girls in some cute vintage clothing. Out in June! Also had the great pleasure of painting another Rocky and Bullwinkle cover for issue two and of course, monthly Sonja covers!

And now for the most exciting news of all (eee!)...I'm absolutely thrilled to share that I'm working exclusively with the amazing Pinup Girl Clothing on creating some fun, quirky and colorful novelty prints that will be released next month! The prints will be featured on their gorgeous dresses and skirts for the Fairytale Fantasy collection. Given the theme, I've worked up a fun retro Snow White all over novelty print and a Mermaid/sunken ship themed border print. If you know me, you know this is a real dream come true. I've been wearing and collecting vintage clothing for many years, especially novelty prints from the 40's 50's and 60's-I've always dreamed of creating patterns/clothing and I'm so grateful for this incredible opportunity and to be working alongside such talented ladies! There will also be some special items and goodies that will be available at the Pinup Girl boutique for the launch and art show-so be sure to stop by! I will post more as the launch date approaches next month, please visit the event page to RSVP and for updates!! xoxo
